How do I send a confirmation email with a design when contacts submit a form?
When creating a TIEIT form, there is an option to include a text-based confirmation email to users. If you wish to send an email with a specific design to your contacts that fill out a TIEIT form, you can use the Automation module’s email template builder to create the email. Click here to learn how to create your email template. To learn how to set up the automation, please see the instructions below.
1. On the Forms module, click the name of the form that you would like to add the email to.
2. Click on the Settings tab and then click the Confirmation Emails tab on the left side panel. Toggle off the toggle located in the Turn On Confirmation Emails to Form Submitters area. Since you will be creating an automation that sends a confirmation email template, this is to avoid sending two confirmation emails when a contact submits a form.
3. Click the Automation module button on the left side panel to open the Automations page. Click the green + Automation button on the top right of the page.
4. Name your automation. Select Start from Scratch.
5. Click the Define Your Automation section. This allows you to set the trigger for this automation.
6. Select the Form icon and then select the form you would like to associate the confirmation email with. Click the save button.
7. Select the Send Email icon. This allows you to set the action that takes place once the user submits the form.
8. Select your email. Click the save button. If you do not have an email already created, please note that you will need to create an automation email first to add an email to the automation.
9. Turn on the automation. If it is turned off, the automation is not active and the email will not send to contacts that submit the form indicated in the automation.
