Power Up Your Forms: Email Attendees and Display Repeating Field Counts

TIEIT provides greater flexibility for working with forms that include repeating field sections like Attendees, Guests, or Volunteers. You can:

  • Send targeted emails to registrants, attendees, or both
  • Display the count of a repeating field directly on your form submissions dashboard

These features help you streamline communication and monitor form activity more effectively.

Sending Emails to Registrants and Attendees

When sending a bulk email from the Form Submissions page, you now have more control over who receives the message—if your form includes a repeating field.

To send an email:

  1. Go to your form’s Submissions page.
  2. Select one or more submissions.

  3. Choose Send Email from the Actions dropdown.
  4. If your form includes a repeating field (like “Attendees”), you’ll see a modal asking who you want to email.

Recipient Options in the Modal

When the modal appears, you can choose from the following:

  • Registrants only – Sends the email to the primary form submitters.
  • Attendees only – Sends the email to the contacts listed in the repeating field.
  • Registrants + Attendees (default) – Sends to both groups. Duplicate email addresses are automatically removed.

Once you choose, click Continue to move to the email composer. The recipients will be pre-filled based on your selection.

Note: To send an email to Attendees, those contacts must already exist in TIEIT. If an attendee record hasn't been converted into a contact, they won't receive the email.

Labeling Repeating Fields

TIEIT uses dynamic labeling for clarity and consistency.

  • The label shown in the modal (e.g., “Attendees”) is taken from the Item Label field in the Edit Repeating Fields settings.
  • You’ll enter the label in singular form (e.g., “Attendee”).

  • TIEIT automatically pluralizes the label for use in the UI (e.g., “Attendees”).

This approach helps ensure consistent terminology across your form and dashboard.

Displaying Repeating Field Counts on the Dashboard

You can also display the number of entries in a repeating field set as a metric on your form’s submissions dashboard.

How it works:

  • If your form contains only one repeating field, its count will display by default.
  • If there are multiple repeating fields, you can enable the count for one at a time. Turning this on for one field will automatically turn it off for any others.

Things to Know

  • Duplicate email addresses between registrants and attendees are automatically removed before sending.
  • Always use the singular form for repeating field labels to ensure correct pluralization.
  • Only one repeating field count can be displayed as a KPI at a time, but you can switch it as needed.
