When creating an email through one of the following sections in TIEIT:
- TIEIT CRM
- Saved Responses
- Email Marketing section
- Automation Email section
- Pipeline activity titles
you have the ability to use Merge Tags which allow you to insert data from your contact directly into your email.
1. Click in the area of the email where you wish for the merge tag to be used and then look for Add Merge Tags icon:
Note: The icon will be in the located in the Formatting toolbar when creating or editing an email in the various sections above.
2. A pop-up will appear allowing you to select from a variety of Merge Tag options.
3. The Fallback Term allows you to have a back-up word just in case the data is not available in the Contact's information. If the Merge Tag field is blank in the Contact's information, TIEIT will pull the Fallback Term.
