Activities can be created from different areas from the TIEIT CRM to make it easy for you to create an activity and associate it with a respective record.
If you have not gone over the Getting Started with Activities article, we suggest that you go over that as it will give you a good foundation of TIEIT Activities, the different types and how to navigate the activity window.
1.0 Creating an Activity
Activities can be created from any of the following places within the TIEIT CRM.
2.0 Top Menu
From anywhere in the CRM, hover over the Activity menu and click on Add Activity.
The Add Activities option in the top menu can be accessed from anywhere within the TIEIT CRM.
3.0 Activities Dashboard
Activities can be added from the Activities Dashboard by using the + Activities button.
Go to the Activities dashboard by hovering over the CRM on the side menu and clicking on Activities. Once on the activities dashboard, click on the green +Activities button.
3.0 Contact and Deal listing
From the Contact and Deal listing pages, an activity can quickly be added that will be associated to that record. Scroll to the far right of the respective grid, then click on the more menu and select Add Activity.
4.0 Contact, Deal or Company record pages
Activities can also be added from the record (detail) pages of a Contact, Deal or Company. The detail page can be accessed by clicking into a Contact, Deal or Company record.
From the record pages, TIEIT a few more options to quickly add an activity that will be associated with that respective record.
- Hover over Activities in the top menu and click on Add Activity to bring up the activity pop-up. From the record page, when clicking on the Add Activity from the top menu, it will associate with the respective contact or primary contact and deal from the deal record page.
Click on the Add Activity green button on the bottom right of the page.
In the middle of the record page, there are quick action Add Activity options. These options load the activity pop-up with the specific activity type pre-selected.
Clicking on this icon will bring up the Activity window with the note tab activated.
Clicking on this icon will open the email compose activity pop-up.
Clicking on this icon will open the activity window with the meeting activity type selected.
The SMS icon will open the activity window with the SMS activity type pre-selected.
Clicking on this activity icon will open the activity window with the call activity type selected.
When an Activity is added from a Company record page, the activity will automatically be associated with the primary contact and can be changed by clicking into the name field.
The contact dropdown from the company record page will first list all contacts associated with the company but you can search for a contact from the dropdown or select from one of the recently viewed contacts.
- If a deal has more than one contact associated with it, the activity will automatically associate with the primary contact. You can modify which contact the activity is related to.
