TIEIT allows you to create fields which can be useful in gathering details from users that are not available in TIEIT's default fields.
The custom fields you create can be used in,
Navigating to the Custom Fields Settings
- From any section in TIEIT, click on the icon (a profile picture or initials) at the top right and click on Settings
- By default, the section will open on Personal Settings
Creating a Custom Field
When under the Custom Fields settings, to Add a new field click the + CUSTOM FIELD button in the top right.
Tip: If you already have custom fields set up you do have the ability to edit an existing field by clicking the 3 dots to the far right of the custom field and clicking Edit.
After clicking the + CUSTOM FIELD the Custom Field screen will appear on the right-hand side.
You can now set the following for each custom field,
You will be able to add different Field Types of custom fields in TIEIT by clicking the drop-down for Field Type which includes,

|Text||The Text field is a single textbox||for collecting one-word answers and short phrases.|
|Date||Is used to allow people to select a date entry||for gathering Birthdays or Expected Close Date|
|Multiple Choice||Is used to allow people to select only one answer from a list of choices.||for selecting finding out a specific answer from a user, i.e. Mathematical Questions|
|Drop-down||Is used to allow people to select only one answer from a menu of choices.||for giving users ranges where they can select which one they fall in, i.e. Age Group|
|Radio Button||Is used to allow people to select only one of a predefined set of options.||for giving a person mutually exclusive options where they must select one, i.e. Yes/No Questions|
|Description / Paragraph Box||Is a large text box that accepts multiple lines of text.||for Comments or Questions from the people.|
|Text, Date or Description/Paragraph Box||
|Multiple Choice, Drop-down or Radio Button||
Where will the field be available and/or pre-populated?
You can toggle where the Custom Field you just created can be used,
Tip: By default the Select All toggle will be on but you can toggle the location as required.
Once you have set the Type of Field, Values and Where the field will be available you can SAVE AND CLOSE.
Tip: Click the drop-down arrow to get the option for Save and New if you wish to make another custom field.
