TIEIT is made up of modules that each has data objects that are unique to that module. A module is an area in TIEIT that has a particular set of features. The CRM is one module, but it is integral to the entire ecosystem that makes up TIEIT and primary data objects such as Contacts and Companies are shared across other modules.
All data-driven systems are made up of objects and records. Records are the underlying units of information that comprise objects. For example, all contact details are stored within the Contacts object, and each particular contact is a record.
The table below will give you a quick definition of the data objects that make up the CRM. If you are coming from a different application, then getting to know the terminology will help.
Object | Definition | Analogous Terms |
---|---|---|
Contacts | Contacts store information about a person who you communicate and work with. Contact records house contact data, communication history, relationship with the company(ies) they work for and other related data. You can associate deals to companies, add them to groups and keep track of where you met them (source). | Leads, Prospects |
Companies | The companies object helps to keep all associated contacts at that company organized. Companies is a powerful data object as it manages the relationship between contacts and other companies. | Accounts |
Deals | The Deal is a powerful construct in TIEIT Create a set of action-driven processes for your team to follow. Define, automate and collaborate on any process your team has to put in place and track. The Deal section is often used to track Sales, but due to the flexible and powerful nature of the TIEIT Deal, it is also applied to project management, event planning, and more. Almost anything process driven in your company where you need to streamline and track the progress. | Opportunities |
Groups | Groups are ways to categorize contacts. Contacts can be part of multiple groups. Group data can be filtered and actioned upon in various modules across TIEIT. For example, you can create an automation to contacts within a particular Group (e.g. Hot Prospects) who have shown interest in an email campaign you sent (e.g. clicked on a link) to send them a more targeted email or SMS. You can use Groups in Email Campaigns to send contacts belonging to particular group(s) (e.g. Loyal Customers) a personalized email. Segment and filter data based on groups in your Contact listing so you can see the data that is insightful to the decision you need to make. | Tags, Categories |
Sources | Sources are used to identify how a Contact, Deal or Company got introduced to you. Sources could be your website, lead portals, referrals and more. The utilization of sources will help plan where to invest your marketing initiatives, track ROI and ensure that your budget is being spent on revenue generating and efficient sources of leads. TIEIT also offers various automation options to help associate new contacts with the correct source. A company source is independent of a contact source and similarly of a deal source. This allows you to track different sources for various stages of interactions with a lead or Contact to ensure flexibility. | Lead Source |
Activities | An Activity is an event such as a call, email, task, SMS, note that took place with a contact, company or deal record. Activities help to track what is happening with a record and provide insightful data to predict future behavior. | Task, Email, Meeting, Call |
