How to Create a Custom Record View in TIEIT
Overview
TIEIT’s Custom Record View feature lets you personalize your CRM detail pages by customizing tabs, sections, and layouts. You can hide unnecessary fields, move sections around, or add new side panel tabs to organize information the way that works best for you.
By tweaking your record views, you can keep your most-used fields front and center, making your workflow more efficient.

What's a Custom Record View?
Imagine having your CRM display just the info you need, right where you want it. That's what custom record views are all about! Tailor the details tab on any CRM detail page, hide tabs you don't use, or even add new ones to the side panel. It's your CRM, your way.
How to Access & Add a Custom Record Layout View
First things first: If you don’t see the Custom Record Layouts option, your TIEIT account owner might need to activate it for you.
- Log In & Navigate to Settings:
- Log in to your TIEIT account.
- Click your user icon at the top right.
Select Settings.
- Find Custom Record Layouts:
- On the left sidebar, under Company Settings, click CRM Settings.
Choose Custom Record Layouts.
Here, you'll see all your available custom layouts. To add a new one, hit the green + Add View button at the top right.
- Set Up Your New View:
- Fill in the details and select which tabs you want on your chosen detail page.
- Click the blue Save button when you're done.
Customizing the Layout
Important: Each field can only exist in one location. If it's in the side panel, it can't also be in the details tab.
Use the layout icons at the top right to switch between customizing the Detail Tab and the Side Panel.
- Drag and drop fields into your preferred sections.
- Add new sections as needed by clicking + Add New Section at the bottom of the page.
Adding or Modifying a Side Panel View
Click the side panel layout icon at the top right.
- Click + Add New Section to create a new tab.
Drag desired fields from the left into your new section.
Tweaking Section Names
- Hover over the section title and click the pencil icon to edit.
Update the name and click Save & Close.
Hiding Tabs on a Detail Page
- Click the three-dot icon next to your layout and select Manage Tabs.
- Click the eye icon to hide any tab.
Click Update to save changes.
Hiding or Deleting Sections on a Detail Page or Side Panel
Hiding Sections:
- Take the desired view from the View Listing page
Hover over the section and click the eye icon.
Deleting Sections:
Remove all fields by clicking the "x" next to each.
Hover over the empty section and click the trash can icon.
Setting a Default Custom Record View
- Take Views listing page
Click the three-dot icon next to your layout and select Manage Tabs.
Assign as the default for specific users.
- Click Update.
Sharing Your Custom Record View
Click the three-dot icon next to the layout and choose Manage Tabs.
- Select users under Shared With or make it available to all users.
Click Update to share.
