What can you do on a contact detail page?

The contact detail page provides you with a full overview of deals, activities, notes, transactions and more related to a specific contact. You can easily access a contact’s detail page by searching and clicking a contact’s name on the contact listing page on the CRM.

View and Edit Contact Details

You can view and edit certain details about a contact on the left side panel or edit them under the contact details tab. 

On the left side panel, the areas highlighted in the image above show the tabs you can click where you can view and edit certain information about a contact. The first section, in blue, helps you view contact social media accounts, email and phone number. You can also edit the company, position (job title), and name here. On the areas that you can edit, a pencil icon appears when you hover over the details.

On the right you will see a number of tabs on the top. If you click Details, you will be able to see all the details entered for a contact. You can expand areas like address information or group or email lists they are in. In these areas, you can edit the information by clicking the pencil icon that appears on the right.

The Timeline

When the timeline tab is selected, you can view all the activities that are related to a contact on TIEIT. For example, you can view email communication, tasks, invoices recorded and more. You can search for tasks using the search bar on the top or clicking on the icons below the search bar if you would like to quickly sort by activity. There is also a menu bar on the right where you can sort the activities.

Creating Notes

If there is information you will need to record for a contact, you can add a note. You can also add pinned notes to easily highlight notes so your team can view it.

You can create pinned notes by clicking the + Pin Note button on the left of a contact’s details page or clicking the note button on the menu bar at the bottom and turning on the pin note option. 

View Deals

When the deals tab is selected from a contact’s detail page, you can view all deals related to that contact. You can also view the deals by clicking on the deal name.

View Transactions

In the Transaction tab on a contact’s detail page, you can view documents and details related to a contact that have been recorded on TIEIT such as:

  • Invoices
  • Upcoming invoices
  • Estimates 
  • Subscriptions
  • Contact Card (Credit card details)
  • Products being considered

You are able to view information like the status of an invoice, click on a transaction document like a quote to see the details of that transaction, and add transaction documents or details.

For most of these areas, except Upcoming Invoices, you can add details or create items like invoices directly on the contact’s detail page by clicking on the top right section of each area. 

Adding and Viewing Attachments

You can view any related documents that have been added for a contact when clicking the Attachments tab. You can drop or choose a file on the section above to add a document or download any of the existing attachments by clicking on the file name in the section below.

Send an Email 

You can write and send an email directly to the contact by clicking the email option. This can be done by clicked the mail icon on the left section or the blue menu bar below. Please make sure that your email has been connected to TIEIT in your settings. If it is not, the emails will not be sent.

Add Activities

You can add activities like tasks, scheduling of follow up emails, meetings, and scheduling/logging calls related to a contact on TIEIT. In addition when creating these activities, you can also add other details like associating them with deals that are related to the contact and additional details like adding followers to an activity.

Owner and Collaborator Details

Owner and collaborators list which team members is the owner of the contact and who is associated with the contact. When you add a contact onto TIEIT, you become the contact owner. If you wish to make any changes to this, you can click the first icon to the left of the activity button to change the owner. The add collaborators click the next circular button with the + and person icon.

Customized Side Panel Views

To make it easier for your team to view important information about a contact, owners of an organization’s TIEIT account can make customizations to information that appears about a contact on the side left panel view. This can be done though setting under the Company Settings section on the owner account.
