With this file, you can upload contact, company, and other data that can be helpful in organizing the information you will have stored on TIEIT.
TIEIT uses emails as a way to differentiate each contact. What this means is that each contact that you add or import onto TIEIT will need to have a unique email address. If two contacts use the same email, only one will be added.
To import contacts and data onto TIEIT, please follow the steps below.
How to Import Data

2. Click import.
3. Select the green import button located under the Import Your CSV files section.

Here are some tips to help you import your contacts correctly:
What Will Not Import Correctly
Contact Names Not Being Added to the Correct Fields on TIEIT
Please make sure that first, middle and last names are added to the correct fields on your .CSV file. If the entire name is added only to one field, this will only add the whole name in that field. For example, in the images below, the name Bruce Wayne is added under the First Name field. If this is imported, the contact name will only appear under the First Name field when viewing it on TIEIT.
Not Importing a CSV (Comma delimited) File
Please make sure to import contacts with a .CSV file. All other types of files will not import. Click here for our .CSV sample template.
Adding Contacts that Use the Same Email Address
TIEIT uses email addresses as the primary way to differentiate each contact. If two contacts use the same email address, only one will be added. Each contact will need a unique email address associated with their contact.
Incorrect Data Entered on the CSV File
Please make sure to check that the information entered on the .CSV file has the correct details for the contact. For example, if unnecessary text gets accidentally added on a contact’s email on the .CSV, the contact may not be imported on TIEIT or it may affect your ability to search for the contact on TIEIT.
Adding a Custom Field Column on the .CSV File and Importing the File Without Creating the Custom Field on TIEIT First
If there is custom information that you want to include on the file that is not entered under one of the pre-defined fields for TIEIT, you will need to create a custom field first before importing the file so you will be able to map this information to the correct custom field.
5. Once you have imported the files to TIEIT, a page will appear with a dropdown menu that lists where the information on your .CSV file will be added to. Click the green import button when done. The data will then be added to TIEIT. Please note that if you are importing a very large amount of data to TIEIT, it may take a few minutes for all the information to be imported.
